Barbara Childs, was born on September 24,1956 in Camden Arkansas to the late James and Alberta Bates and she was the youngest of seven children. On Thursday, October 5, 2017, the Lord saw fit to bring her home.

Barbara was a graduate of Fairview high School in Camden, AR. She was full of life and a helper to others. Barbara loved reading her bible and shopping. In the year 2010 Barbara rededicated her life to God and joined New Beginnings Deliverance Church, where she was faithful member until her failed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, John L. Porchia, Clave Ware, and James Nettles.

She is Survived by one brother, George Bates(Glenda); Camden AR, two sisters Deverna Cummings (John) and Adrienne Key, daughter, Lakeshia Howard, son, Dareon Buffington both of Camden AR; five grandchildren, Keave Bates(Detra) Stephens AR, Jalynne Bates (Adrienne) of Camden AR., twins Jerome and Lerome Thompson of Conway AR. and Jared Thompson of McNeil, AR. two great — grandchildren Kennedi and Daniel Bates. and a host of nieces and nephews
