Cassandra A. Hayes was born September 9th, 1959, in Camden, Arkansas to Edith Mae Cornelius. She was the first born of five children. Cassandra departed this life on May 12, 2022, at Wadley Regional Hospital Texarkana, Texas. Cassandra accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Cassandra was a Camden High School graduate. She later moved to Hope, Arkansas.

Cassandra was preceded in death by her grandparent Edward I. Cornelius and Pearline Harris Cornelius; a brother, Eugene P. Watts, two uncles, Edward I. Cornelius, Jr, of California and Robert E. Cornelius, Sr, of Crossett, Arkansas.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother: Edith M. Cornelius, Camden, Arkansas; three brothers: Frederick B. Watts, Jeffery L. Haywood and John P. Cornelius all of Camden, Arkansas. Three Aunts: Leslie and Louise of California and Emma Cornelius of Crossett, Arkansas and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
