Obituary

Frank Stith, Jr. a great and honorable Man of God who has always given his best to God, his family, children, church, job and community. His stellar personality has drawn many to Christ through the Holy Spirit.

He was also a devoted husband to the love of his life, the late Annie Mae Stith, for 50 years.

Frank Stith In all probability is most decorated with community service that has emerged throughout life. Franks Academic career was completed at Lincoln High School, he began his working career at Helen Street Grocery Store for 25 years. He was the 2nd black meat manager at Safeway in Camden Arkansas.

He enjoys his volunteer work at the Food Bank, Ouachita County Jail, and The Gideons for 15 years. The love for his church, Zion Hill and pastor, Bishop Chester Thompson is priceless, where he has been a member for at least 55 years, and has served in many capacities, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Brotherhood and still serves as Chairman of the Deacons, and Care Team "B" Leader.

He has been commended many times for his leadership abilities and gained the respect of not only of his superiors but all who has come in contact with him. He is truly one of the few heroes left.

His children and grandchildren are proud to call him there hero and at the age of 80 he was still teaching young men and women honesty, respect and preparedness.

There is a nation of many that will often be overlooked in today's world, who may never walk in the shoes of this Great Korean War Veteran. Frank also received a Citation from Governor Mike Beebe on Jun 15, 2008, declaring it as Frank Stith, Jr. Day.

As spoken by General Douglas MacArthur, "It is fatal to enter a war without the will to win it" and "a people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both." Quoted by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Frank Stith, we salute you, our General. Bro. Frank Stith received many awards during his lifetime of his dedication to the community and his church. He completed his Jail Ministry certification in 2013, the Central Arkansas development council appreciated this service in the community in 2010, and most recently for his volunteer service in 2018. He always lends a helping hand to everyone and our family Charles Stith Family presented him with an award for traveling the least distance because of all the work he did to assist in making this reunion a success. Bro. Stith knew the importance of being equipped for the work of the Lord, he received Evangelical Training from the Foundation Church Ministries in 2006. One of his most treasured reward in 2018 was the certificate of honor as a Seasoned Saint at the Zion Hill Baptist Church from Bishop Chester L. Thompson, Jr. Some of the most touching words from that certificate is being thankful for having him in their lives. Representing the beauty, the uniqueness and the sustaining power of God.
