John Cedric Fletcher Life Story
John Cedric Fletcher was born in Camden, Arkansas, where his life's journey began and where he remained deeply connected to his roots. Raised in a close-knit community, John developed strong values grounded in family, faith, hard work, and perseverance—values that guided him throughout his life.
John was born to the late Patsy Jean Fletcher and Johnnie Fletcher. He was a cherished grandson of Essie Bell Fletcher, who at 94 years old continues to represent the strength and legacy of the Fletcher family. Family meant everything to John, and he took great pride in the bonds he shared with those he loved.
John received his education in Camden and proudly graduated from Camden High School, Class of 1979, home of the Fighting Panthers.
John was a journeyman plumber and a true jack of all trades. There was very little he could not fix with his hands.
Faith was central to John's life. He loved attending church, visiting several churches throughout the Camden community, and fellowshipping with others. His favorite words, "Godgot me," reflected his unwavering faith.
John Cedric Fletcher departed this life on January 16, 2026.
He leaves to continue his story son: Johnathan Norful; granddaughter: Moryi Leigh Norful, brothers: Johnny Maurice Fletcher, and Estacio Fletcher, sister: Joyce Hubbard, grandmother: Essie Bell Fletcher, aunt: Inetha Amstrong and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
