Bro. Ossie Hawkins (Pete) was born December 9, 1948, to the late Ossie and Corine Hawkins, in Camden, Arkansas. He was the oldest brother of 9 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ossie and Corine, sisters, Judy Stevens, Cassie Hawkins, and three brothers, Lee Hawkins, Donald Hawkins and Dennis Hawkins

Ossie Jr. graduated from Lafayette High School. He loved playing football, grilling, most of all, he loved his family. He had a smile that could brighten your day.

He leaves to mourn his passing three brothers, Larry and of Camden, Arkansas., Billy (Shirley) Hawkins of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Jerry (Cathy) Hawkins of Little Rock, Arkansas. Ossie has a beautiful daughter Kizzy Thomas with four grandchildren: Shamon Thomas, Jamal Thomas, Angel Hinton, Crystal Hinton and one great grandchild Kaine Thomas, and has a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness; which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me on that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
