Thelma Crawford Scott was born August 28, 1928, to Theo Crawford and Bessie Holmes in Wilmot, Arkansas. After a courageous battle, she was called to her eternal home on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Her parents as well as her husband Elbert Scott, children— Marie Atkins, Elbert Scott Jr, Jerry Scott, grandchildren, Tim Mitchell, Maleek Scott and brothers L.C. White and James White proceeded her in death.

Thelma was baptized at an early age at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas.

Thelma met and married Elbert Scott. To this union was born six children. She was a faithful wife, devoted and loving mother.

Thelma had an infectious smile and a bear hug for everyone who came across her path.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Edward Scott (Sandra) of Atlanta, GA, John Scott, of San Antonio, TX, Rickey Scott (Mickie) of Cedar Hill, TX; daughter Doris Mitchell of Detroit, MI; sister Doris White, of Camden, Ark; brother Bobby White, of Pine Bluff, Ark; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
